EXECUTED AUSTRALIAN, ANDREW CHAN'S LAST LETTER TO SCHOOL CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD

Months before his execution, reformed Bali Nine ring leader, Andrew Chan wrote a letter to school children around the world warning them about the dangers of using drugs.
His letter is part of a short documentary,'Dear Me' which is now available to high schools in Australia and UK for educational purposes.
In the letter, Chan wrote,
"Now the reason I'm writing you this letter is to address you guys about the dangers of drugs and the effects it can have on you and also others."
Chan's letter revealed he became addicted to drugs at the age of 15 and warns teens not to follow his footsteps and advises them to study hard and achieve more than he did.
Chan detailed how he made stupid decisions and hung around the wrong crowd in his youth. Parts of the letter show his deepest regrets and agony of spending a third of his life behind bars.
Chan wrote, "My life is a perfect example of absolute waste"
