EBOLA: WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION DECLARES LIBERIA EBOLA FREE

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Liberia free of the Ebola virus as  the country has had no new cases in the last 42 days.
As at September, Liberia was seeing 400 cases a week with hospitals full and bodies lying everywhere.
With determination, resilience, collective effort and launch of a public health campaign, the epidemic was stemmed and last confirmed  case and death was March 27.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is in a joyous mood and celebrating. She is to take a bus tour around the capital thanking health workers and community people in a victory parade.
