AKON OPENS 'SOLAR ACADEMY' TO SUPPLY ELECTRICITY TO 600MILLION PEOPLE IN RURAL COMMUNITIES IN AFRICA

Sengalese superstar musician, Akon has recently opened a 'solar academy' as part of his efforts to supply electricity to 600 million people in rural communities accross Africa.
The institutiion will be opened this summer in Mali and is expected to train African engineers and entrepreneurs with the skills needed to develop solar powered electricity systems and micro grids.
