SUPREME COURT RELEASES LEBANESE MAN; TALAL RODA JAILED FOR LIFE

The Supreme court in Abuja, Nigeria on friday set free a lebanese; Talal Roda who had in 2013 been sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiracy and illegal storage of firearms. The accused had been prosecuted by the Federal Government of Nigeria in its quest to fight terrorism.

He was the only one out of three lebanese accused of being members of Hezbollah terrorist group and  storing illegal of firearms in Kano and Abuja that was convicted.

In setting him free; the supreme court stated that there was no evidence to show that he agreed with his co-accused to store the firearms
