During yesterday's National Prayer breakfast ,Obama said that christians who make up the majority of Americans should not cast the first stone on what is happening in other countries or be on their high horse because during the crusades and inquisitions, people committed terrible deeds like slavery using the name of Christ.
Republicans and other critics were outraged and said his comments were very offensive.
Obama was reiterating the need for Americans to live up to their self proclaimed image by admitting these short comings.
Obama has been known to say it as it is.
