EGYPT RELEASES AL-JAZEERA JOURNALIST PETER GRESTE DETAINED FOR OVER ONE YEAR

Peter Greste, the Al- jazeera journalist who was behind bars for more than a year in Egypt has been deported to Australia after getting presidential pardon from President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt.

Peter Greste was arrested in december 2013 and was accused and prosecuted for aiding the Muslim Brotherhood and spreading false rumour.

Two other Al-Jazeera reporters, Mohammed Fahmy and Baher Mohammed are still languishing in Eyptian prison.
