Fifty Shades of Grey, which has broken box office records in United States has been banned in Nigerian cinemas after one week of release by the National Film and Video Censors board (NFVCB).
For those who have not watched it, the movie is based on a 2011 erotic romance novel by British author, E.L James. It contains explicit erotic scenes of sexual practices between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and young business magnate, Christian Grey.
The lead roles were played by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.
The film is already banned in Kenya and Malaysia.
