FORMER IMF CHIEF ON TRIAL FOR PIMPING

Dominique Straus-Kahn a former International Monetary Fund secretary general's trial for sex charges in France commenced yesterday 2nd February.
 He is charged with participation in a prostitution ring that extended from France to Brussels, Washington and Newyork in which he procured prostitutes using his subordinates.
It will be recalled that he resigned as head of IMF in 2011 after he was accused of assaulting a housekeeper in a hotel. The charge was later dropped.
