CHAD AND NIGER REPUBLIC LAUNCH OFFENSIVE AGAINST BOKO HARAM

A day after Boko Haram purportedly pledged their allegiance to the Islamic State, Chad and Niger Republic on Sunday launched ground and air raids against Boko Haram in the border town of Diffa, Niger.

Diffa residents said huge number of soldiers from Chad and Niger Republic confronted Boko Haram around the Doutchi area outside Diffa.

The operation is said be a continuous and on going one.
