EBOLA: US AID WORKER IN CRITICAL CONDITION EVACUATED FROM SIERRA LEONE

A US aid worker in Sierra Leone who tested positive to Ebola is in critical condition and has been evacuated to National Institutes of Health, Maryland.

According to Charity Partners in Health, ten other health workers who came to the aid and in contact with their ailing colleague are being transported back to United States in order to monitor them for any signs of Ebola symptoms.

The Centers  for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday sent a team to Sierra Leone to investigate how the aid worker got exposed to the Ebola virus.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) over 10,000 people have died from the current outbreak of Ebola.
