PDP SAYS PATIENCE JONATHAN IS A PEACEFUL WOMAN AND SHE WILL NOT APPEAR BEFORE ICC

The All Progressives Party (APC) through its Director General, Presidential Campaign Council, Mr Rotimi Amaechi who is also the current Governor of Rivers State  is reported to have threatened to lodge a complaint against Dame Patience Jonathan the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly making provocative statements in a PDP rally in Cross River State where she told PDP supporters to stone any one requesting for change. Meanwhile APC uses "change" as their slogan.
However, the PDP director of  Media and Publicity , Fani Kayode said Dame Patience statement was taken out of context and that she is a peaceful woman.
Fani Kayode said that Dame Patience supposed statement didnot cause anyone to commit violence and that those dragging her to the International Criminal Court were not educated on the issue of International law .
Fani Kayode says no individual has ever been taken to International Criminal Court based on their speech unless the speech caused people to commit acts of violence and in this case that didnot happen.
