PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE: APC CANDIDATE BUHARI ABSENT

The last round of the Presidential debate organised by Nigeria Election Debate group (NEDG) was held on Sunday in Abuja. Unfortunately the Presidential Candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC) did not turn up and President Goodluck Jonathan of PDP had to slug it out with four other  presidential contestants,  Comfort Oluremi of the Kowa Party, Godson Okoye of the United Democratic Party (UDP) , Martins Onovo of the National Conscience Party (NCP) and Chekwas Okorie of the United People's Party (UPP).
The President, Goodluck Jonathan used the opportunity to inform Nigerians that all elections will hold as scheduled on March 28th for the Presidential elections and April 11th for the legislative elections. He said there was no going back and the dates are sacrosanct.
President Goodluck Jonathan reiterated the importance of re-electing him in order for him to consolidate his achievements which include amongst others improved agricultural system, youth empowerment, improved health care, improved railway system which had collapsed in  Nigeria for the past 30 years as well as improved road network.
It would have been interesting if the APC Presidential Candidate, Buhari turned up for the debate as he is the real competition to President Jonathan in the upcoming Presidential elections.
