The protesters marked the 12th year anniversary of the start of Iraq War by rallying in front of the white house and marching to the capitol.
The protesters carried mock coffins which they dropped in front of the White House near lawmaker offices at Russell Senate Office Building near the capitol.
Answer Coalition who organised the rally said it was "an antiwar intervention"
US military involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, US drone strikes in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, US "provocation" in Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe were a major concern for Speakers at the rally. They warned against any war with Iran.
United States is looking at reaching a deal with Iran to curb its nuclear programs but if this does not work out, US has not ruled out using military intervention.
The rally was peaceful and there were no arrests made.
