REMI SONAIYA: NIGERIA'S FEMALE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

Remi Sonaiya is the female presidential candidate contesting under the KOWA  party. So much attention has been given to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan and All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari as the leading contenders in Saturday's election but Mrs Remi Sonaiya has proved to be an inspiration for women to come out and contest.
Remi Sonaiya holds a doctorate degree in linguistics.
On why Remi Sonaiya decided to join the race, she said ,
"I have a stake in Nigeria. Iam qualified to run for presidency of Nigeria.....Like what Barack Obama said, he thought here was a skinny little black boy who thought that America had room for him. Well this not so skinny woman thinks that Nigeria has a place for her, at the leadership level also"
Remi Sonaiya further said that she avoided joining any of the two major political parties, PDP and APC, because she didnot agree with their ideologies, internal lack of democracy and godfatherism.
Remi Sonaiya also wondered why so much funds which would have been used for developmental projects are spent on campaigns.
Not too late for Nigerians to give her a chance.
