SOUTH AFRICA VERSUS NIGERIA FRIENDLY MATCH ENDS IN A DRAW


The friendly match between South Africa and Nigeria which took place today, Sunday  at Mbombela Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.

Nigerian captain, Ahmed Musa curled home a brilliant strike for the Super Eagles of Nigeria six minutes to the end of the game putting Nigeria in the lead.

However, the one goal advantage by Nigeria didnot last long when Bongani Zungu of Bafana Bafana of South Africa lashed home the rebound after Super Eagles goal keeper, Daniel Akpeyi had parried Bafana Bafana's substitute Lehlohonolo Majoro's effort at stoppage time.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Several opportunities  which would have been converted to goals were missed by both the Super Eagles and their South African counterparts, Bafana Bafana.

Vincent Enyeama, Nigeria's number one goal keeper could not be part of the game due to a minor back injury.
