ALL ACCREDITED MEDIA HOUSES INCLUDING AIT ARE FREE TO COVER BUHARI'S ACTIVITIES-APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed has said that the incoming Buhari administration will not discriminate against any media organization irrespective of its role during the electioneering campaign leading up to recent polls.
The statement however asks all media organizations to observe the highest level of professional standards in carrying out their duties.
They are to adhere to strict code of ethics guiding journalism in Nigeria.
This reverses the decision taken on Monday by the President-elect whose spokesperson cited family and security concerns as the reason AIT journalists were denied access to Buhari's temporary office when they showed up to cover official engagements.
Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has spoken publicly against the decision to shut out AIT. Many Nigerians have also spoken against the decision and wondered how tolerant the incoming administration will be to opposing views.
