BOSTON BOMBING TRIAL: DZHOKHAR TSARNAEV FOUND GULTY ON SEVERAL ACCOUNTS

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been convicted for his role in the April 15th, 2013 bombings of Boston Marathon. This is the first phase of the terror trial. The next stage is now the penalty phase to determine whether he will get the death penalty.

A jury of seven women and five men who deliberated for two days following 16 days of testimony gave the guilty verdict on criminal charges against Tsarnaev.

Tsarnaev gave no sign of emotions while the verdict was being read.

Tsarnaev was 19 when twin bombs rocked the finish line in Boston maraton in April, 2013.

Three people were killed in the Boston marathon bombings and over 250 injured.

Defence lawyers have said that Tsarnaev committed the crimes of which he was accused but did so at the bidding of his older brother, Tamerlan who died during a gun battle with police in Watertown, Massachusetts.
