CHRYSLER TO PAY $150MILLION IN GRAND CHEROKEE CRASH DEATH

The US jury has awarded $150 million (100 million pounds) to the family of four year old Remington Walden who was killed in a crash involving a Grand Cherokee Jeep in 2012.

The jeep he was travelling in was struck behind by a truck which resulted in the rear fuel tank rupturing and igniting fire.

The driver of the truck is to pay 1% of the $150million while Chrysler pays 99%.
Chrysler recalled 1.56million SUV jeeps built between 1993-1998 that have similar rear fuel tanks.
