A bridge collapsed on Sunday in Kano killing seven people.The state Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has said that the contractor handling the project will be forced to pay the medical bills of the injured as well as pay compensation to families of those who died in the accident.
Kano State Police Command is currently investigating the cause of the collapsed bridge but preliminary reports showed that a cab driver's disobedience to site workers' instruction not to drive under the bridge was responsible for the tragedy.
