He is the 11th person treated of Ebola in the USA. Nine Americans survived while two Africans with the disease died.
Chief of Ebola Response for Partners in Health, Sheila Davis said, "we're heartened by the news that our colleague is heading home, free of Ebola and making his way towards full recovery"
The health worker was admitted on March 13 at National Institute of Health Clinical Centre, Bethesda, Md.
After 2 consecutive tests recently he tested negative for Ebola making doctors declare him to be Ebola free.
No information is given on the type of treatment he got.
Ebola outbreak appears to be on the decline. Only 30 new cases were reported for the week ended April 5th out of which 21 are from Guinea, No new cases from Liberia and Sierra Leone's been on the decline in the past 5 weeks.
World Health Organisation (WHO) is set to meet today Friday to discuss if Ebola is still considered International Emergency.
