EBOLA: WHO FORMALLY ISSUES SAFE SEX WARNING TO EBOLA SURVIVORS

The World Health Organisation(WHO) has asked Ebola survivors to practise safe sex to ensure the virus is not passed to their partners.
This warning came after a surrvivor was found with traces of Ebola in his semen almost six months after recovery.
This is about 90 days more than that previously documented. It is not known whether it can spread at this point. Officials are making further investigations to evaluate risk.
Dr Nathalie Broutet, a medical officer with WHO said the recent case prompted experts to strengthen their advice.
He says the patient is the first they have seen with traces of the virus in the semen beyond 90 days.
