FORMER GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE, ORJI UZOR KALU LOSES SENATORIAL BID, REJECTS RESULTS

Former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu  lost his senatorial bid in Abia state during the National Assembly elections held on March 28th.

Orji Uzor Kalu who contested under the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) came a distant third behind Mao Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and David Ogba of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA).
The full results were released on Thursday.
The results are ;
PDP Candidate- 40,027
APGA-27,002
PPA-27,002.

However, the candidates of PPA, APGA and APC have sent a petition to INEC Chairman, Atahiru Jega alleging massive rigging and manipulation during the election.
