INEC OFFICIALS CAUGHT THUMB-PRINTING BALLOT PAPERS IN THE RUN-OFF ELECTIONS IN IMO STATE


The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Edo State, Mike Igini has foiled electoral fraud being perpetuated by a group of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials in Oru East Local Government Area in Imo State during today's run-off elections.
Mr. Igini was in the company of top police officers including, Imo State Police Commissioner, Assistant Inspector General of Police when he came upon INEC officials thumprinting ballot papers for a particular party.
The dubious 5 INEC officials were quickly arrested.
A total of 15 persons who were carrying out the dubious act near the home of a politician were arrested and taken to the state capital in Owerri for further interrogation.
