IT IS ONE YEAR TODAY SINCE 200 CHIBOK GIRLS WERE ABDUCTED BY BOKO HARAM MILITANTS

It is one year today since over 200 Chibok girls were abducted from their school by Boko Haram militants.
The abduction of the girls catapulted Boko Haram into global limelight after six years of wanton destruction and killing in the north eastern part of Nigeria by the Islamic terrorists.
Requests for the release of the students took a global turn when Michelle Obama, Hollywood celebrities, important personalities around the world joined in the crusade, "BringBackOurGirls",
Relatives of the abducted students with hope and stoicism held a silent rally today in Abuja to mark one year anniversary of their abduction.
It is estimated that over 2000 girls have been abducted by the Islamist insurgents, Boko Haram.
