MIGRANTS LIVING IN FEAR AS XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS CONTINUE IN SOUTH AFRICA

Violent attacks have continued in Durban South Africa against foreign nationals.
Locals began attacking and looting properties of fellow Africans after Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini told migrants to go home. He has however said his words were misinterpreted by South African newspapers who wanted to sell their papers.
President Jacob Zuma has condemned the attacks and established a team of ministers to put an end to it.
Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba and Kwazulu Natal Premier, Senzo Mchunu met diplomats from Nigeria, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Malaysia to discuss the attacks and how to put it under control.
A similar violence in South Africa occurred in 2008 in which about 60 people died.
