NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA NAMED ONE OF 50 GREATEST LEADERS IN THE WORLD


Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala , the co-ordinating minister for the Nigerian economy has been named one of the 50 greatest leaders in the world alongside Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Pope Francis, Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Cook, Bill and Melinde Gates and others.
She occupies the 33rd position and was described by the globally acclaimed magazine, The Fortune as a fearless promoter of sound economic policies and was specially recognised for her work in trippling Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in a decade.

Leaders were judged based on their performance in governance as well as performance in their professional domain not on popularity.

Dr Okonjo Iweala as a two time Finance Minister of Nigeria has laid a solid foundation for Nigerian economy which is the biggest in Africa.
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala graduated from Harvard university in 1976 and has a doctorate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1981.
