APPLE BUYS NIGERIAN OWNED ICT FIRM FOR $1BILLION

According to The  World Street journal publication, All Things Digital, Apple has bought Nigeria's Chinedu Echeruo's HopStop.com.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed officially but HotStop has been compared to Israel's WAZE which google acquired recently for $1billion.
Hopstop was founded in 2005 and makes mobile applications for both ios and Android that covers 300 cities and helps people find nearby subway stations, busstops or get directions.
Chinedu Echeruo, the founder of HotStop, a former analyst at Investment Banks and Hedge Funds is now the Chairman of the App firm.
Chinedu attended Kings College Lagos, Syracuse University and Harvard Business School.
