EX-INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, SULEIMAN ABBA REMOVED FOR INDISCIPLINE-POLICE SERVICE COMMISSION

The Police Service Commission has explained that the former Inspector General of Poice, Mr. Suleiman Abba was removed from office because of increasing cases of indiscipline in the rank and file of the force.
This explanation was given by the Chairman Police Service Commission, Mr Mike Okiro who said that President Goodluck Jonathan gave them this explanation at a meeting on the prompting of one of the governors who said Nigerians will like to know why the Inspector General was removed.
Mr. Solomon Arase was on Monday confirmed by the Police Council as the new Inspector General of Police.
