HIV: UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL AND GSK PARTNER TO FIND A CURE FOR HIV/AIDS


The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and GSK, a global pharmaceutical and healthcare company has announced on Sunday in a new release the creation of an HIV cure centre and a jointly owned new company, Qura Therapeutics, whose focus will be discovering a cure for HIV/AIDS.
The HIV Cure Centre will be located at the University of North Carolina with exclusive focus on finding cure for HIV/AIDS.
The new company,  Qura Therapeutics will handle the business side of the partnership which includes commercialisation, intellectual property, manufacturing, governance.
Both UNC and GSK are expected to recruit top notch talent around the world.
