MIGRANTS FOUND DRIFTING OFF COAST OF THAILAND RESCUED

Migrants found by BBC reporter who first spotted their boat which had a broken engine and was filthy and covered in insects has been rescued by Indonesian fishermen.
The boat was carrying Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants. Amidst speculations that countries in the region, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand were turning away migrants and asking their fishermen not to rescue them, Indonesia and Malaysia have said they will offer the migrants temporary shelter.
Malaysia's Foreign Minister, Anifah Aman has said they would only provide shelter if the migrants came ashore and under the condition the international community would help to repatriate and resettle them within a year.
