The President-elect of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari said on Thursday that the outgoing administration of Goodluck Jonathan has not provided the incoming government with all necessary information needed for a smooth take off next week especially regarding the current fuel scarcity in the country.
Buhari said this when the APC Transition Committee headed by Ambassador Ahmed Joda submitted an interim report of the committee to him.
Buhari said the outgoing government misunderstood the terms of reference of the committee, thinking he was already running a parallel government.
Buhari says the purpose of the committee is to make adequate preparations for the task ahead and not to indict anybody.
Ahmed Joda had earlier told Buhari that they could not get the neccessary information from the government and are relying on the initiative and assistance from organised private sector, Lagos Business School, International Development Partners and members of the public to draw a plan.
Nigerians are complaining loudly that it will be unfortunate if Goodluck Jonathan's government leaves as their legacy a very messy enviroment as it is currently to the incoming government since they had previously sorted out fuel crisis promptly.
