SOUTH AFRICA: FORMER TENNIS CHAMPION, BOB HEWITT GETS BAIL AFTER A 6 YEAR JAIL SENTENCE FOR RAPE

Former Tennis Champion, Bob Hewitt, 75, has been granted bail by a South African court after receiving a six year jail term for raping underaged girls.
The judge, Bert Bam granted the bail pending an appeal hearing on June 19.
Victims reacted angrily to the judges decision to grant the bail.
Hewitt was found guilty for raping underaged girls in the 1980's and 1990's.
The judge slammed Hewitt for not showing any sign of remorse during the trial and noted that the striking similarities of the victims' testimonies showed that the attacks were calculated.
Hewitt during the trial informed that he is in poor health.
