16 YEAR OLD NIGERIAN-IRISH FOOTBALL STAR COLLAPSES AND DIES DURING A FOOTBALL MATCH

Shetemi Ayetigbo, an Ireland based football star who is likely of Nigerian parentage going by his name colapsed and died on Sunday while playing a football match.

Ayetigbo played for the U-16 division of North Dublin side, Belvedere Football Club.
Ayetigbo collapsed when his team was playing against rivals St Kevin's Boys.
An eyewitness told Irish Mirror,
"There was no incident, any attack. The young lad was playing on the pitch. It was around 25 to 30 minutes into the game. Anumber of people rushed to his side straight away to give him first aid as there was a defibrillator at the grounds. An ambulance came and paramedics tried to treat him there. But he couldn't be saved.
They then took his body to the hospital. The match was cancelled. Everyone was in shock. The young players, staff and supporters had never witnessed anything like that on a football pitch. There were a good few people watching the match becauseit was the last game of the season."
The cause of death is yet to be identified but a post mortem was said to have been set to take place on Sunday.
Judging from results released so far, Ayetigbo may have suffered from a form of sudden death syndrome.
