CHINA: DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL CELEBRATED IN CENTRAL CHINA

About 100 competitors roared their dragon boats on the Xiaoshuihe River in a race to celebrate the  forthcoming Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu on Tuesday, June 16 in Yongzhou, Central China's Hunan Province.
The Dragons Boat Festival is celebrated annually on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese Lunar calendar which falls on June 20.
