EBOLA: DANGOTE FOUNDATION COMMITS ALMOST ONE BILLION NAIRA TO FIGHT EBOLA VIRUS

Dangote Foundation has offered to defray the cost of quarantining Nigeria's returnee health worker volunteers who arrived after spending six months in ebola ravaged countries.

The foundation had earlier committed 900 million naira to fight ebola virus disease in Africa and will be spending about 60 million naira to accommodate the over 200 returnee health workers who travelled to help in containment of ebola in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
Director of Port Health Services, Ministry of Health, Dr. Nasiru Sani Gwarzo has commended Dangote Foundation for its assistance saying, " the intervention of Dangote Foundation in the containment of the Ebola virus is unprecedented in the history of intervention efforts in Nigeria by a single business entity".
