FIFA President, Sepp Blatter who resigned on Tuesday saying that it appeared the mandate he had been given does not seem to be supported by everyone in the world and that FIFA needs profound restructuring is reportedly being investigated by US officials as part of their inquiry into corruption at the world football body according to US media.
This news came after Mr. Blatter announced he was stepping down as President of FIFA having just been re-elected.
US prosecutors launched a criminal enquiry last week and seven of 1 indicted officials were arrested in Switzerland.
