FRENCH DEATHROW CONVICT SERGE ATLAOUI LOSES HIS CLEMENCY APPEAL IN INDONESIA

An Indonesian court has said it would not overturn Indonesian President, Joko Widodo's rejection of clemency for French convict, Serge Atlaoui.
Atlaoui was not executed in April with other foreigners following a last minute reprieve because his appeal against the clemency rejection was still outstanding in courts.
The Attorney General's Office says the appeal against the rejection of his clemency bid was the final recourse for Atlaoui but his lawayers say they will continue to seek legal avenues.
Atlaoui a married father of 4 was arrested by Jakarta police at a house in Banten province dubbed the 'ecstacy pill factory' by local media.
He was found guilty in 2007 for trafficking in 260kg of hallucinogens and 306 lb of methamphetamines.
An execution date is yet to be set and Indonesia's tough stance on drug trafficking has drawn international criticism.
France frowns and takes a strong stance against the death penalty.
