MERS: SOUTH KOREA REPORTS NO NEW MERS INFECTION ON JUNE 20

South Korea says no new cases of MERS have been reported on Saturday, June 20. This is the first time in 16 days there are no new cases and raises the hope  of the country winning the battle against the deadly disease.

As such the number of deaths remains at 24 and confirmed cases remains at 166 as at June 20, the health ministry says.
6 more patients have recovered and left the hospital making the number 160 people undergoing treatment.
Restrictions on more than 700 people were lifted on Saturday leaving about 5,200 people in quarantine.
