MERS UPDATE AS AT JUNE 28

The Health Ministry of South Korea has officially confirmed infections to stand at 182 patients and 32 deaths .
The latest victim was a 55 year old who had no other condition except MERS. Out of the 182 people who contracted MERS, 91 have been discharged following full recovery and 59 are still hospitalised, and 15 of the hospitalised remain in unstable conditions. There have been 32 deaths reported so far.
As at Sunday, 2562 people still remain in quarantine.
South Korea has successfully localised the spread of the disease with 90 hospitals serving as main source of infection. The only infections confirmed to occur outside of health institutions are an ambulance driver and a paramedic who came in contact with MERS patients.
