CONTROVERSY TRAILS THE NEWS OF THE DEATH OF THE OONI OF IFE, OBA OKUNADE SIJUWADE

Reports from the media in Nigeria on Tuesday and Wednesday gained momentum that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade died in a London Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 85.
However, the traditional council comprising traditional rulers and all title holders in Ile-Ife have debunked the media reports insisting that Oba Okunade Sijuade is in sound state of health and preparing to attend his son's wedding holding next Sunday in Lagos.
Lowa of Ife, Oba Joseph Ijaodola insists that the media reports that the monarch is dead are false.
