MERS: SOUTH KOREA GETTING READY TO ANNOUNCE END OF MERS OUTBREAK

South Korean officials have said on Friday, the country is ready to announce the end of the MERS outbreak  which has infected a total of 186 people and killed 36 people but are waiting for at least 28 days after the last patient has fully recovered in compliance with World Health Organisation's rules.
As at Friday only one South Korean patient remained in isolation and the remaining eleven in hospital have tested negative to the virus.
South Korea declared an emergency after its first MERS case was reported on May 20.
