NIGERIA: SUNDAY OLISEH BECOMES NEW COACH FOR SUPER EAGLES

Former Super Eagles player, Sunday Oliseh has been named the new coach for Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles. The 40 year old former midfielder captained Nigeria and won 63 caps.
Oliseh was part of the Nigeria squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1994 and Olympic gold two years  later. He also played at the World Cup in 1994 and 1998, helping the Super Eagles to the last 16 at both tournaments and in the 1998 World Cup, he scored the memorable winner as Nigeria shocked Spain 3-2 in a group match.
Oliseh has coached Belgian lower league side, Vervietois between 2008 and 2009.
Oliseh will take over from Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) technical director, Shuaibu Amodu and assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, who are currently in charge on interim basis after the coach of Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi was sacked.
Meanwhile, the assistant coach that Sunday Oliseh will be working with has been revealed as Belgian, Jean Francois Losciuto.
Jean Francois Losciuto had previously worked with Sunday Oliseh when he managed Belgian lower third division side, Vervietois.
Losciuto has had coaching stints in Africa with Togolese club, Anges de Notse and led the team during the CAF Champions League games against Enyimba earlier in the year and also ASFA Yennenga of Burkina Faso.
The NFF has said he will oversee "developmental programs and will work with clubs', youth teams and certified academies towards developing the game from grassroots.
