EBOLA: SIERRA LEONE RECORDS NO NEW EBOLA CASE IN THE WEEK UP TO AUGUST 16 ACCORDING TO WHO REPORT

According to World Health Organisation (WHO) there were no new Ebola cases reported for the week up to August 16th in SierraLeone.
This is the first time that the country has zero new infections since the outbreak in May last year. However, authorities are warning against complacency. Director of National Ebola Response Centre (NERC) OB Sisay says "this does not mean Sierra Leone is suddenly Ebola free". He says "As long as we have one Ebola case we still have an epidemic. People should continue to take public health measures.........handwashing, temperature checks, enhanced screening".
Currently in Sierra Leone, the last Ebola patient has been discharged, the country's Ebola Centre confirms. The patient was discharged in the presence of President Ernest Bai Koroma
Nightclubs and theatres have been re-opened and markets are now allowed to stay open for longer periods of time.
Sierra Leone citizens are really pleased and happy.
The end of the outbreak will be declared officially six weeks after the last Ebola patient dies or tests negative for the virus.
There are 3 confirmed cases in the week up to August 16th from Guinea.
