NIGERIA: PRESIDENT BUHARI TO PROBE PROCUREMENT OF WEAPONS FROM 2007 TO DATE

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the National Security Adviser to convene an investigative committee on the procurement of hardware and ammunitions in the Armed Forces from 2007 till date.
The committee's mandate is to identify irregularities in the procurement of weapons as well as make reccomendations for streamlining the procurement process in the Armed Forces.
Members of the Investigative committee include,

4. Brig Gen. L. Adekagun (rtd)- Member

7.Brig. Gen. N. Rimtip (rtd.)- Member
8.Air Cdre U. Mohammed (rtd.)- Member
9. Air Cdre I. Shafi'i- Member
10. Col. A.A. Ariyibi- Member
11. Gp Capt C.A. Oriaku (rtd.)- Member
