LASSA FEVER OUTBREAK: PLATEAU STATE REPORTS 5 NEW CASES

The Lassa Fever outbreak in Nigeria continues to spread. The Plateau State commissioner for health, Dr. Kudan Kanshak has confirmed five new cases of Lassa Fever in Jos, capital of Plateau State.
Dr. Kudan said that Plateau State is close to the Lassa Fever endemic states and hence it could turn out as hotbed for the disaese.

He implored citizens to keep clean and healthy environment and informed that health officers have been sent to rural communities to sensitise them about the disease.
