Arthur-Simpson was initially questioned about Blake and her sons disappearance in December which he denied any knowledge of but later fled to Ghana and was seen at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana on December 19.
Scotland Yard said in a statement to PEOPLE,
"Detectives have today, Saturday, 9th January been made aware of an arrest in Ghana"
"We are currently working alongside the Ghanaian authorities but are not in a position to discuss further at this time".
Ms Blake's body and that of her two sons, Zachary and Amon were discovered in the rear garden of their home in Erith, Kent on January 5th, about 20 days after the police began investigation on their disappearance following report from anti-child abuse charity, NSPCC.
