NOVAK DJOKOVIC SENDS ANDY MURRAY PACKING, WINS 6TH AUSTRALIAN OPEN TITLE

Novak Djokovic dashed any hope of Andy Murray winning his maiden title at the Australian Open as Novak won his 6th Australian title on Sunday at the Rod Laver Arena with a sound beating of Murray.
Novak beat Murray with a commanding 6-1, 7-5, 7-6 victory. Novak has now claimed his 11th Grand Slam title and joins the likes of Bjorg Borg and Rod Laver in the all-time list and inching his way to Roger Federer's record of 17 Grand Slams.

Novak also with Sunday's victory matched Australia's Roy Emerson's record of winning the tournament six times between 1961-1967, an achievement that took 49 years to equal.
