The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has announced the arrest of a suspected recruiter for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, a man known as Abdussalam Enesi Yunusa in Kano.
Yunusa was arrested on January 17th, 2016 as he "completed arrangements to embark on a journey to join ISIS terrorist training camp in Libya, with other Nigerians whom he recruited for ISIS", DSS said.
His arrest according to DSS was sequel to key "available intelligence which indicated his terrorist antecedents and covert drive to indoctrinate and recruit susceptible youths in the country".
Yunusa is a 400 level undergraduate student of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State studying a degree in Information and Media Technology.
