Gianni Infantino replaces Sepp Blatter as FIFA president after winning the election in Zurich on friday, 26th February.
45 year old Gianni is former UEFA General Secretary, a Lawyer and Sports Administrator and joined European football's governing body in 2000.
Gianni won the election with 115 of the 207 votes while his closest opponent Sheik Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa had 88 votes.
Prince Ali Bin Hussein of Jordan retained 4 votes while Jerome Champagne of France, a former FIFA executive had no votes after voting went to second ballot since no candidate had the required two-thirds majority of votes in the initial voting process.
