NIGERIA'S NATIONAL FOOTBALL COACH , SUNDAY OLISEH RESIGNS

The coach of Nigeria's national football team, Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, has resigned seven months after he was appointed.

He announced this early friday morning via twitter  and wrote'Due to contract violations, lack of support, unpaid wages , benefits to my players, assistant coaches and myself , I resign as Super Eagles Chief Coach.'

He had in an earlier tweet thanked Nigerians for serving as the coach of the team.

He wrote' I feel fortunate , blessed and eternally grateful for having the honour to play, captain and coach this great nation of ours, Nigeria.'

Olise's tenure has been marred with controvesy. Soon after he resumed he had an altercation with Super Eagles former team captain and Nigeria's most capped goalkeeper Vincent Enyema prompting the premature resigntion of the goalkeeper from the national team.

Also he has had issues with the executives of the National Football Federation  over remuneration, match tactics and results.

Under his tenure the Super Eagles had a woeful outing at the CHAN competition held in Rwanda and the team was eliminated in the first round.
